A PCT application covering our novel technology resulted in a positive opinion from the international searching authority on all three accounts, the novelty, the inventive step, and the industrial applicability of the invention.
The PCT patent covers encapsulations made of two component coatings composed of dietary fibres and their corresponding digesting enzymes. It therefore not only covers cellulose and cellulase but also pectin and pectinolytic enzymes, hemicellulose and hemicellulase, lignin and lignin degrading enzymes and fructan and fructan degrading enzymes. A potential for the development of other encapsulation technologies is therefore covered by the patent text.

The invention has priority date August 14. 2018.
The technology is ready to be nationally patent protected to 2040.
